Creating for fun...

Hello!

I was lucky enough to have a girl's day in with my friend, Shirley, last week.
Here are the two cards we made:

This first card used the Lawn Fawn dies and stamps from the 'Spooktacular' set.
Pretty cute, right?

This card came from a tutorial on Dawn Griffith's blog, and uses Stampin'Up! products.
You pull at the top, and the top two layers slide up.  What a fun idea!

Shirley and I always have a good time together - this time, we got pedi's, then went to her house for lunch and creative time.

It was a good day - we hadn't gotten together since before my surgery, so it was almost a month
between seeing each other!

I'm feeling better each day. Hopefully, I'll be back on schedule in the next week or two,
posting regularly again, and commenting more often!

Thanks for your patience,

Patti J.

A Great Big Hello!

Hello!

I hope wherever you are, you are having a great day!

I'm doing better, and decided to make a card for today's Repeat Impressions Challenge.

It's time for a new sketch challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Wendy has asked us to create a project using this awesome sketch:

For my card today, I used these Repeat Impressions Stamps:

I'm so excited about these words!  Wendy has added some new word sets to the store! Be sure to click on the above link, and check them out!!!  What fun!

Now then, being the rowdy trouble maker that I am, I simply 'had' to flip the sketch!
Here's my card:

Now, come on over and join us in our Sketch Challenge!
Remember, you don't HAVE to use Repeat Impressions Stamps
but if you do, you have double the chance of winning!

Now, it's time to see what my DT friends have created!

How Are Ewe?

Hello there!

I haven't posted in a good while, so thought I'd share a card that I made while
enjoying a 'girl's day' at my friend, Shirley's.

Shirley has an amazing girl cave, complete with OODLES of stamps I've never had the pleasure to work with.  This is a set by Gerda Steiner, and we had a lot of fun inking it up!

I think the sunshine background is Our Daily Bread, but can't recall!

When I finished this one, I knew it had to go to our granddaughter in Germany. She has
several 'sheep' toys, including a pretty big one that Grandpa bought for her before she
was even born.  She also sleeps with her 'Sheepie', so this was her card!

Hope you are enjoying your Friday, and getting ready for a nice, relaxing
weekend.  We are looking forward to church on Sunday - haven't been since August 1st!
It's good to be feeling well enough to attend!

Happy Weekend,

Patti J.

Long time, no see...

I have been MIA for a while!

On August 5th, I had some surgery, and ended up with several major
complications.  I've yet to get into my creative space and play.
Well, that's not entirely true. I tried today, and threw away four of four cards.

Perhaps tomorrow....

In the meantime, I'm being featured today, over on the Perfect PaperCrafting Blog.

Hope you'll hop over and leave me some sweet comments!!!

If I've not been by your blog in a while, I apologize. I simply haven't felt like being
up and about.  Each day brings better things, and hopefully, I'll soon be back
to my regular stalking self :)

Hugs to all,

Patti J.

I hope wherever you are, there is sun, sand, and surf!
I'm not quite that lucky today, but I do love Missouri, most of the time...

It's time for a new challenge at The House that Stamps Built!
Today is a Designer's Choice Challenge, and Cheri Weston is our talented
challenge hostess. She's asked us to create a project with the theme:

Sun, Sand, and Surf

Fun with giraffes

Hi there!

I have a fun post today!  I was recently asked to create some 'giraffe' cards,
for a lady who wanted to give 7 cards to her daughter - one each day, leading
up to her birthday!

It was a lot of fun, creating 'just because', and I am happy to share them with you today.

Here's what I made:

This one uses a digital image from Bugaboo stamps. Cute, right???
Love that sweet face!

I can't remember whose image this one is - yikes! I borrowed some
giraffe stamps from my friend, Shirley, and this was one of them.

The Dazzle On stamp is an older stamp from Great Impressions.

On the inside is a computer generated sentiment, and an OLD stamp set from TAC.

Here is another one that I can't remember!!!

This gorgeous giraffe is from Repeat Impressions. LOVE this!

The inside is a sentiment I printed from 'someplace online'!!!

Last, but not least, here is another great digi image from Bugaboo stamps.
Look at those critters having a party just for Ashleigh!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Hope you enjoyed my furry friends :)

Hugs and blessings,
Patti J.

P.S. LOTS of great mats on these cards that were created using my Perfect Papercrafting tools!

You are My Sunshine

Happy Saturday!

What a fun time I had, creating a card to share today, using some great stamps from Great Impressions.

For this card, I used:

Don't you just LOVE this stamp?

I can remember my mom singing that to me over and over again,
as she would sit and brush tangles out of my long, thick hair!
Oh....those precious memories!

See you next Saturday with another project featuring some amazing stamps from Great Impressions

I hope you will check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

I'm here today to share a fun card that I made for the Repeat Impressions Color Challenge at The House that Stamps Built.
Look at these luscious colors!

Here's what I made, using these Repeat Impressions stamps:

I just stamped the deco image repeatedly in different colors, and added sentiment and bling for finishing touches.  Clean and simple creations...gotta love them!

This stamp comes in two sizes!!!

We need your help!

A week or so ago, I shared the following link with you, for a social media position our daughter is trying to attain.

We have all been posting on FaceBook (which is 'THE' social media, right?),
and Melissa is currently in 1st place.

However, yesterday, when we all got to our FB pages to vote,
the posts had all been removed by their administration, and marked as offensive content.

We don't know if this was a FB 'friend', or one of the other competitors, but
we need to get the word out and get some votes coming in!

I'm hoping that you will all take the time to send up a vote or 10!

You can vote one time each day from now until August 22nd, and we
would appreciate any votes you have time to cast.

Thanks in advance!

If this post offends you, PLEASE tell me.
Please don't report it as offensive content.
I will gladly come back in and remove it.

Don't you think it's pretty ironic that using social media to win a social media contest is offensive?

Here is the post again:

We would love YOUR vote!!!

Hi peeps!

Today is a personal post.  Our daughter Melissa, who lives in Germany, is in the running to be one of two members chosen to be social media ambassadors for the German Tourism Office.

The contest runs through Aug. 22nd, and you can vote one time each day between now and then.
Whether you vote once, or every day, we appreciated whatever you have time to do!

No personal information is asked for. You will simply go to the link shown, click on it, and then click VOTE when their photo comes up. That's it. Easy peasy!

Here's the link:

Thanks so much for stopping by today,
and thanks again, in advance for your vote(s)!!!

Feel free to share the link with your family and friends!!!

Hugs and smiles,
Patti J.

Great Impressions Stamps - August Challenge

Happy Sunday!

It's time for a new monthly challenge at the Great Impressions blog!

The August 2015 Challenge is easy!  Just add a sentiment!
It just started today, so you have lots of time to enter your beautiful creations!

For this card, I used:

I had fun, just layering on some pretty designer papers from Heartfelt Creations.
If you enlarge the photo, I think you can see my dimensional bloom.

This card was easy peasy! The sentiment was stamped in a green that coordinated with the dark and light greens on the papers and frame - just the perfect blend for both

I'll be back next Saturday with a fun creation using my wonderful stamps from Great Impressions

Please check out our current Great Impressions Challenge, and if you use some Great Impressions stamps make sure you link them up in our Customer Gallery!

Thanks for stopping by,
Patti J.
